To everyone reading this, thank you for taking the time to be here and for your consideration in voting for this proposal. All of your support so far has meant the absolute world to me, and my life has already been changed all thanks to the Gnars community.

I’m writing to propose a 1-year continuation of my sponsorship with Gnars. This will apply to my Tom’s Tutorials accounts as well as my personal account, in which I have 140,000 followers in total. As a part of my sponsorship, I’ll be skating Gnars designed boards in my tutorials and in all of my skateboarding clips. I will continue to inform my audience of Gnars, as well as shouting out the artists who designed the boards, while generating interest in the web3 community. I would love to propose another round of artist-submitted deck designs as well, in which I'll skate either my favorite designs or the ones that receive the most votes by the community. Otherwise I'll skate the various boards that live on Boards.wtf to continue to give exposure to Gnars.

I will also agree to represent Gnars through contest announcements, hosted videos, and wherever else I can be of service to the brand, with the goal of getting Gnars on as many skateboarders’ radars as possible. Additionally, I would love to shoutout any big initiatives that Gnars gets behind, such as skatepark project funding, rebuilds, non-profits, etc, in my tutorials on YouTube or on our Instagram. Those big achievements are extremely impactful to other skaters and well worth bringing to light to inform people of how rad Gnars is. This creates a desire for them to want to join Gnars to propose projects for their own communities.

My last proposal was a 6-month proposal that ended over a year ago and I have continued to rep Gnars everywhere that I can to this day. I ask that you please keep this in mind when voting, as I am passionate about this community and in the way I share about it with others. I recently released a new full street part in Dabble VM issue 20 as well as on my channel that I worked on for years. In my part, I had my filmer insert a clip of me edited with a pair of Noggles on to integrate Gnars into it.

My pro model board that was originally designed for me to turn pro a couple years back was also released alongside the part. With permission from the artist, I Photoshopped the Gnars logo and a bunch of noggles onto the graphic so that they look as if they are part of the original design.

Another BIG reason for this proposal, is so that I can buy an actual camera to start filming our tutorials with. I have been using my iPhone so far to film all of our content. As you may have noticed, the slow mo iPhone camera and quality is horrible, especially when zoomed in or cut up for social media, and slow motion is extremely important in filming our tutorials. Considering the rapid growth and success of our channel and our desire to provide quality skateboarding content to the world, I’ve been wanting so badly to get a professional camera. However due to finances I have just not been able to.

With these funds, I plan to buy a Sony a7S III camera with a 16-35mm f/2.8 lens, the same setup that the legendary @bobbybils uses. It’s ability to film 4k at 120fps is ideal for skateboarding/teaching. The price of the camera, lens, gimbal, batteries and other accessories I’ll need to buy totals out to over $5700.

I am proposing $5500 USD to cover the majority of the costs of the camera and equipment, and 3 ETH for my ongoing 1-year sponsorship with Gnars.

To help you understand the value in what I can do for Gnars, here is what I have contributed to the brand so far since my initial sponsorship:

In our tutorials on YouTube, I’ve earned over 525,000 views while skating Gnars boards and representing the brand. In addition, I’ve earned over 705,000 views on YouTube Shorts, 43,400 views on our recently launched Facebook page, and over 1,743,700 views on TikTok. Lastly, on Instagram, my videos that feature a Gnars board have earned over 10,589,000 views. And these stats don’t even include the numbers from my personal Instagram account.

In total, the amount of views that I’ve earned so far on videos where I’m skating a Gnars board just on my Tom’s Tutorials accounts is over 13,606,100.

I would love to see that number turn into 20,000,000.

Also, I was able to shine light on multiple artists within the Gnars community that designed the boards I skated from our original 'Skateboards Everywhere Forever' prop. I skated and showcased these boards in each tutorial, shouting out the artist and directing my audience to follow them on their social platforms, in addition to directing my viewers to Boards.wtf to buy the boards themselves.

Lastly, I managed The Berrics YouTube channel for over 5 years, in which I learned how to best optimize YouTube videos to earn views consistently over long periods of time. This has reflected on our channel, as our views on all of our videos continue to increase at the same rate as they did when they were first published. Here are some examples (filmed on Gami’s green Gnars board) of videos that have continued to grow over the span of 20 months:

As you can see, new skateboarders will continue to be made aware of Gnars for many years to come just through our channel. Let’s see what we can do these next 365 days and beyond! Thanks for EVERYTHING guys!
